Assemblyman Patrick Burke is advocating for a new statewide teen dating violence prevention program, as recently featured in a story by WKBW. His proposed legislation, “Jacqueline’s Law,” would create a curriculum to help young people recognize the warning signs of abuse in teen relationships.
At the Family Justice Center, we know that prevention and education are critical in breaking the cycle of violence. We stand in support of efforts like this that empower youth, educators, and communities to identify abuse early and provide resources for those in need.
